Selena is the creative director and co-founder of Kaleidoscope. She has an extensive background in fashion and design working on the styling teams for major artists such as Aaron Paul, the Dixie Chicks, and Kylie Minouge, as well as clients like BMW and Erik Hart from Hart + Lëshkina. Selena collaborated with VR creator Zohar Kfir in the experience TESTIMONY which premiered at Tribeca 2017, and was funded by Oculus VR For Good.
Founded in 2014 by René & Selena Pinnell, Kaleidoscope produced the first virtual reality festival in 2015 earning coverage in top publications such as The New York Times, LA Times, and VICE. Kaleidoscope has partnered with companies such as Wired and Facebook, and has gone on to produce high-profile events around the world that explore the art, science, and business of virtual reality. In 2017 Kaleidoscope began executive producing VR content, and launched an invite only platform for creators and industry leaders. To date, Kaleidoscope has helped raise more than $3MM for independent VR creators, and projects discovered on our platform routinely go on to screen at major festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, IndieCade, Cannes, and SXSW.
